Our Commitment

No More Cocktails and No More Cafe are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information about our products, our cafe, and our story, regardless of ability.

We are working to make our digital experiences conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

What We Have Done

We have taken and continue to take steps to improve the accessibility of our website, including:

  • Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, navigation, footer) so assistive technologies can navigate the page
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
  • Visible and hidden labels on every form field, with autocomplete hints for common inputs
  • Keyboard operability for menus, accordions, forms, and the flavor quiz
  • A skip-to-main-content link for keyboard users
  • ARIA roles and state attributes on menus, dialogs, and dynamic regions
  • Announcements of dynamic changes (form errors, success messages, quiz progression) via live regions
  • Support for the prefers-reduced-motion setting so animations do not trigger vestibular issues
  • A viewport configuration that allows pinch-to-zoom

Areas We Are Still Working On

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We are aware of the following areas where our site does not yet fully meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria, and we are actively working to address them:

  • Color contrast review across all text and interactive elements
  • Comprehensive alternative text review for imagery added through our content management system
  • Review of third-party embedded widgets, which may have their own accessibility limitations outside our direct control
  • Expanded testing with screen reader users and assistive technology

If you encounter a specific barrier while using our website, we would like to hear about it. Your feedback helps us prioritize.

Third-Party Content

Some features of our site rely on third-party tools, including payment processing, product reviews, email marketing, and analytics. While we select partners who support accessibility, we cannot always control the accessibility of embedded third-party content. We continue to evaluate these integrations and request improvements where needed.

Formal Approach

We maintain an internal remediation plan that is reviewed as our website and content evolve. We test our site using a combination of automated accessibility scanning tools, manual testing, and keyboard-only navigation. We will update this statement as our work progresses.

This statement was prepared on April 17, 2026, and will be reviewed at least annually or whenever significant changes are made to our website.
