Benvenuti, da New York

An Italian bar magazine wrote about No More Cafe.

Benvenuti al No More Cafè, dove l’alcol non manca a nessuno. That’s the headline Giuseppe Ballaris ran on his Bargiornale feature this week. Welcome to No More Cafe, where no one misses the alcohol. The cleanest, fewest-word version of what we’re doing at 352 East 13th Street, and it took an Italian to write it.

An operator’s read, not a lifestyle story

Bargiornale has been covering how drinks get made and where, for the Italian bar industry, for decades. Their audience is bar owners and beverage directors. People who work the trade. So the piece reads less like a lifestyle story and more like one operator describing another’s room: the eight signature non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu, the four in bottle, the oysters-and-Martini obsession that started it, the live jazz on Thursdays, the kitchen logic behind the drinks.

Per quelli che ancora si preoccupano di che cosa c’è nei loro bicchieri. For those who still care what’s in their glass.

Our slogan, written better in their language than in ours.

Vale la pena leggerlo. Worth reading.
